Praying 5 times and fasting during the month of ramadan are good for keeping fit. Haj and Umrah (both are pilgrimages) also provide good physical exercises

With people living such a sedentary lifestyle these days, what does Islam have to say about keeping fit?

Actually It wasn’t COMPLETELY different. I’m actually taking an early islamic history course now, and the fact that a lot of the similiarities between the practices of pre-islamic arabia and islamic arabia still existed were startling. But that being said, all the haram in the culture was exterminated, and it we can’t assume it was sudden, but actually gradual.

I am Muslim, and I love rock, but I don’t think this is a good idea, it is best to separte the religious from personal tastes dealing with music, movies and the like.

  14. pokebum93 Says:

All religion isn’t culture. What Islam brought in the 7th century was the ultimate change in culture, something completely different than what was practiced before. Great episode. I hope we can all benefit and be religious out of our intellect and free will.
