Dave puttin’ down the vocals like he means it. No computers, no electronic studio tricks, just talented musicians layin’ it down on the 24 track. I like the time change on the chorus; it goes to 3/4 waltz time.
I’ve had music by him before but not this album. I used to really like his “Let It Flow” record from 1977. also his “It’s Like You’ Never Left” album (or something like that) with a great song called “Misty Morning Stranger” on it.
Bummer, man. Now THAT had to be heartBreaking. The music is in our hearts however. I lost my multi coloured Dave long player too. We used to party in the canyon where this foto was taken
I’ve been aware of this album for almost 40 years, and here I am now sampling it here and at amazon, and I just bought it. I really like the sound of it. Can you believe I’m almost 40 years late?
I listened to this album over and over while reading a good book on James Dean. This music is so smooth and soothing it remind me of that actor. Thanks for posting this tune.
Dave still tours extensively and sounds as good as ever. Catch him if you can.
This multi colored album was on the turntable, when the stereo I got for my high school graduation was stolen. Could only get the plain black one to replace it with.:(

If I picked 10 albums from my album collection to take to a desert island, this would be one of them. A stunning album.

Jim Gordon, Leon Russell, what’s not to like? One of the great recordings from the 70’s.
