MOLLY HATCHET – Satisfied Man Aor melodic rock Southern rock 1984

One of the best southern rock bands. In the 80’s their sound became more melodic, with morekeyboards. This is an amazing song. Rest In Peace Danny. Thanks for the music. This is the video. It was so hard to find it

I’ll give you a counter argument. Bands like Hatchet realized that they couldn’t stay the same forever. They evolved. They added a new component to their music, and to be honest, I don’t think this song, which is recognised as one of their most successful, would have been as good without the keyboards etc in it.

I will, however agree with you about modern radio and Skynyrd.

i couldnt of said that better.. 80’s music blows and nothin is better than the lynyrd skynyrd original band, no other band can come close to them when you think about it, they have more good songs by them selves than most bands put together

the 80’s ruined a lot of great bands like molly hatchet with all the keyboards and crap like that. don’t get me wrong, molly hatchet is probably my favorite band (except for skynyrd), and this isn’t a bad song, but their earlier stuff was a lot better, when it was just pure southern rock all the way…

The TIG I believe, the angular guitar Dave’s on, that was in the NAMM 84 story in Guitar Player magazine that year, I think it was the December 84 issue. I was taking some guitar lessons and got the mag back then, had a review of Michael Schenker’s Built to Destroy! Long, long ago, good times!

  13. MetallicBill Says:

and……? I think you mean they sound like no one else? To me that’s true

  14. MetallicBill Says:

Damn straight, I only saw it air once, I recorded it to BETAMAX cassette and hadn’t relocated it yet. Glad yours went online, I love it! Mine was in worse shape!
I never understood Skynyrd being so mad and upset with them, claiming they stole music right from the Allman Brothers. However, I clearly hear a different band playing
