One Love Will Rock Your World

To promote¦market a wave of positivity around the globe on the 21 September 2009, The United Nations International Day of Peace are asking radio stations around the world to play the Bob Marley classic ONE LOVE.

The iconic¦famous track is a further call to promote the laying down of arms. Globally, radio stations are being asked to play ONE LOVE at 9.21 am and pm to create¦make a moment of harmony, while imagining what the future may hold.

Radio stations from South Africa to the Philippines, from Aberdeen to Los Angeles are already confirmed¦on board to play ONE LOVE.

Now no one can predict¦guess the future but one of peace, love and harmony is certainly more desirable than one of war, famine and fear. You only have to turn on the television¦TV news to think the end of the world is upon us.

While our government’s officials, whether we elected them or not, wage war in the name of freedom, for resources or personal gain the average person in the street, any street in the world, goes about their daily life¦routine as best they can.

If each and every individual¦erson can stop for a few minutes¦moments to reflect on how they can make the world a better place and then act on it, surely that can only be a good thing. Send a wave of peace and love across¦around the planet¦world, give and you will receive. You may think you can’t change the world but if you can change the world in YOU, then that may be the biggest change of all.

Sometimes the small¦little things are just the catalyst for bigger¦larger and better things to come. Try smiling at a stranger, holding a door open or performing some small task for someone. Ask for no reward and don’t expect any but when it’s offered, someone smiles back at you or you get a simply ‘thank you’, stop for a moment and think how that feels. It feels good doesn’t it? That, right there is the catalyst for change. You can carry on as you were, or change and send out more love and harmony.

Traveling to foreign lands is another great way of breaking down barriers. By visiting other countries and immersing yourself in their different cultures, religions and languages, it is impossible to return home with the same views and prejudices.

The Internet is another way of facing up to your fears and prejudices who along with ignorance are the enemies of peace and love. You can join a dating site and be talking to someone in any part of the world within minutes. You’ll soon realize we all have the same needs, desires and the capacity for love. In this ever-increasing world of isolation we live in, it seem everyone is trying to make a personal connection, so spread a little love. You may even find¦discover yourself starting a whole new life in another part of the world¦planet with a new partner. How about that for building bridges?

War, what is it good for? Absolutely nothing! So remember to encourage your radio station to play ONE LOVE on 21 September, the International Day of Peace.

ONELOVE for…Music is urging the coolest radio stations on this planet¦earth

Make it your catalyst for change. Make your world one of peace and love. May you find love or love find you.

ONE LOVE will rock your world!
