Queen: A Night At The Opera – Good Company

The Making of ‘Good Company’ This is really great. It shows how Brian single handedly created an entire dixieland band with layered guitar tracks. Amazing. Genius.

Brilliant. What modern pop-rock musicians have this kinda craft and ambition? It doesn’t exist anymore…at least not in Top 40/major label garbage pushed on the masses.

Lots of words describe Brian May as a guitarist but it’s this arrangement that puts him in the ” ARTISTIC VISIONARY” category .. without equal when it comes to overdubbing and total harmonic beauty. I could care less about the Queen of England … “GOD SAVE THE MAY !!! “

from 2:43 and on sounds like something from a super mario game xD

Lo que Brian May logra solo con su guitarra y el overdub (sobregrabacion) es tan perfecto, la polifonia de una seccion de vientos de Dixie. Se puede escuchar el clarinete, el trombon, la corneta. Que musicazo, por Dios! Impresionante

Brian May is rediculously talented and amazingly cool. He can make a guitar sound like a bunch of other instruments. I love him!

  17. SMClassicRock Says:

why’s that? the talent we had those days is someting that doesn’t exists today. today nobody cares about writing genius songs like this anymore. people only cares of making shity songs u can listen to 2,3 weeks and then they throw it to the garbage. we will never have great music like in those days…

The amount of talent it takes to create something like this even today is remarkable. But considering this was done in 1975, it’s positively astounding.
