New Upcoming Rock Bands – Rey Fresco Song Review
Jun 4, 2007 Rock Bands
In this article I will discuss one of the best from their new album “The People” by one of the hottest new upcoming rock bands, Rey Fresco. The song is called Precious Time.
This song says a lot to me.. Buddhism fused with rock, and for one of the most popular new upcoming rock bands, these guys are truly special They deliver the message that all we have is now When I hear this music, I think about all the memories with my loved ones. I know… it may sound corny to some manly-man-never-like-to-admit-it guy, but seriously, it makes me think of all my fondest pastimes in relationships that I have had with family, friends and lovers out there. The past cannot be repeated, and the future may never come. All we have is right now. That is what this song makes me think about.Rey Fresco offers some lessons to be learned for other new upcoming rock bands, with unique sounds and meaningful lyrics.
Below are some thoughts from the band about this music:
Certain reggae musicians have had influence on our music, and so the foundation of this song was conceived through that.Precious Time is a consistent reminder that we should never take our loved ones for granted. The lyrics of this song are a testimony to the importance of love and family in our lives

Great Upcoming Rock Bands – Rey Fresco Song Feedback
May 11, 2007 Rock Bands
Some new upcoming rock bands are turning up the heat! Time to review a new Rey Fresco hit on one of the new upcoming rock bands known by the name of Rey Fresco. Song name I am sharing my feedback on is On The Radio.
For most new upcoming rock bands, the old concept of what the radio is, has been forgotten! This will be the tune that brings Rey Fresco to stardom. (sorry for the cliche) It is possible that my following interpretation is off, but the love and respect for the radio has been forgotten by most young people these days. If by chance you are an older person, and you remember how it was back then when radio was brand new, please comment below. I think new technology like ipods and pandora are cool, but with only those as reference, check out the history of the radio, and how important it actually was for society back then! Just for 1 second, step out of today’s world, and look at how far we have come. This tune has a connection to not only to human love, but it is kinda vague, the love it is singing about can have a big deal to do with love for the actual radio. I would love to hear from you, what are your thoughts?
Here is a quick bit from the new upcoming rock bands own mouth’s…
On the Radio – From Rey Fresco
This song is expressing appreciation for the radio; a historic medium often forgotten in today’s rapid technology. Covering the variety of broadcasts from music to debate and how the radio still keeps us connected.
What I really think, over anything whethere it is this song or another that the people out there choose to like, is that this band will make it! I told ya new upcoming rock bands were turning up the heat!
So there is is folks. I trust you really liked reading this, get their album, because this is one of the new upcoming rock bands you will hear all about in the future!

Best New Rock Bands Review – Rey Fresco Cover King of the Sea
Apr 23, 2007 Rock Bands
Is it really one of the best new rock bands? In this article I will discuss one of the best songs from their new album “The People” by undoubtedly an up and coming, maybe even one of the best new rock bands that goes by the name of Rey Fresco.
Mr King of the Sea! Oh yea, we will surely pay a lot of attention to you! (Listen to tune to get my humor there) Question remains, why is this one of the best new rock bands though? There is no doubt that the best new rock bands these days put many many hours into how their individual instruments come into the song. It comes in with a thundering and rolling sensation due to a passionate drum beat by Jenkins. Then, the rhythmical and interesting sound of the harp comes in by Xocoyotzin, there is no way your not moving when you hear this. The deep mystical sound of Roger’s voice draws you into King of the Sea. After hearing this again and again, this is one of the best new rock bands! So, please comment below, but I stand strong with putting them as one of the best new rock bands! I am happy to report there are no big ego’s yet for these guys, because they certainly did not call themselves one of the best new rock bands, but here are a few words from how the Rey Fresco band members experience of the song…
King of the Sea – From Rey Fresco
A man’s ocean voyage in a shark’s kingdom. A battle between two worlds in a constant power struggle. This song was inspired and is about Dakuwaqa, the Fijian God of the sharks. We are all intrigued by sharks and we respect them immensely.
They offer a free download at their website, so go grab it. While your at it, why not get the entire album on itunes? Hope all ya all enjoyed it, this is one of the best new rock bands you will surely hear more from!

New Review of Cant Explain, From one of The Best New Rock Bands – Rey Fresco
Mar 7, 2007 Rock Bands
It is always very fun reviewing all of the best new rock bands for you. Here is a candid evaluation of new music from one of the best new rock bands, Rey Fresco the tune is called Can’t Explain.
The best new rock bands today do some magical things. What really got me excited here is the smooth harp with the deep soulful voice, that combination really struck a nice chord in me. After hearing it, you’ll see what I mean, and I do mean see because it produces such powerful imagery if you close your eyes. The lyrics are written very nicely, and although I like them, there is something else that it stronger that is coming through. The dudes dig the song, but the women melt. I have seen this first person just looking around at the concert. Almost impossible to write here, there is some kind of momentary transformation taking place within their emotional chemical build up. All of these factors count when determining the best new rock bands.
Don’t the best new rock bands have more than a harp and a singer?
I really like that the other members really let the harp and the vocals shine in this one, they are a team, and playing so well together. It is clear they are one of the best new rock bands I have reviewed in a while.
A clear indication of what the best new rock bands do today is mix together slower songs with their high energy songs, that’s what Rey Fresco is doing with this. The word that is key for all of the best new rock bands is versatility.
Words from the band Rey Fresco about Can’t Explain:
An interesting thing about the beginning of this song…”The song begins with a statement by Roger, “I’m the devil’s child.” This is not literal, it is very metaphoric. He sings with the intention of explaining that temptation is spawn of evil, and is a child of the devil. Therefore Roger is singing as if he was temptation, and how temptation needs people to thrive and exist.”

Best New Rock Bands Review? Here is Rey Fresco – Hey Girl
Feb 21, 2007 Rock Bands
Best new rock bands of today? Here is a review on Hey Girl from Rey Fresco’s The People Album.
First I will share my thoughts of why I think Rey Fresco goes into the “best new rock bands” category, then let’s hear yours.
Rey Fresco being one of the best new rock bands in California really hit the head of the nail with this track.
The intro is definitely a strong point of the song using bees and their honey as a metaphor. Clever, because it is sweet. The transition of the intro to chorus is so smooth, nothing less would be expected for being one of the best new rock bands.
As for the lyrics in this flowing tune, they are truly just as tasty and meaningful. Not only does Roger have a truly amazing voice, but when he gives it to us, BOY does he give it good.
This band goes above and beyond in the next part which is by Xoco on the requinto. Gosh, what IS a requinto you may ask? Google it. It’s quite amazing.
Often the percussion session is quite striking by the drummer, Andrew “Jenkins” Jones. But in this track, he humbly gives a background simple beat to add focus to the lyrics and other instruments. The bassist also allows the others the front row. You can spot it, but just at the right amount. If you listen closely you can see the magic behind the mixing engine and even catch some trumpets and other horns. The mix and delivery of all of the above is where this bands wins the prize. Clearly defining them as one of the best new rock bands.
Here is what the band Rey Fresco has put together for you about Hey Girl
A love anthem about mother earth and her seed bearing plants. This song talks about Hey Girl, and that is a metaphor for mother earth, and all the gifts we get from her.
This is a tune that I could listen to over and over.
There is not really anything I could say that is bad about this song. Again, what do you expect from the list of the best new rock bands.
So is it one of the best new rock bands of today? Of course you can’t totally agree without hearing it, but I recommend checking them out.
Here is some more goods on one of the best new rock bands: There is a free song available at their website and the entire album “The People” is available on iTunes. After hearing it, you’ll agree, this is one of the best new rock bands.

Best New Rock Bands Rey Fresco Playing With Ozomatli

Best New Rock Bands Show – Ozomtali & Rey Fresco
A single highlight of Ozomatli’s headline performance at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, California last night was an unplanned jam session together with their beginning act, one on the best new rock bands, Rey Fresco. Rey Fresco combines a unique mix of rock, reggae, soul and planet music for a wholly genuine sound that integrates effectively with the every bit as eclectic Ozomatli’s sound.
It is not often Ozomatli discovers bands that are such a great fit. It is clear they got a winner with Rey Fresco.
Rey Fresco is a group out of Ventura, Ca and they recently released their debut album called The People. Rey Fresco has sold out multiple shows, and are truly a gem to see live. Today they are placed high inside Ideal New Rock Bands category.
Once being completely embraced by the audience right after a rip roaring set of their own, not an simple feat to accomplish in front in the notoriously loyal Ozomatli crowd, the members were just happy to enjoy the rest from the night and mingle with new fans within the crowd. The night was about to get even improved though, for the band and the lucky fans in attendance. With Rey Fresco getting one with the best new rock bands, the primary fan base at Belly Up were incredibly jazzed to see the incredible Ozomatli come on stage.
For a small portion of Ozomatli’s headline set, rather unexpectedly, they invited Rey Fresco’s harp musician, Xoco, to join them on stage. What took place was rousing instrumental jam that had the crowd on their feet as Xoco raged on a massive harp together with the band. Easily an early choice for live music highlight on the year, it had been a delight to see a group within the “best new rock bands” family embraced by a seasoned act. Here is often a clip on youtube, do yourself a favor and see them tfor yourself.
I am confident all Ozomatli fans found a new band to follow after this show.
Once hearing it, you’ll agree, this is one particular from the best new rock bands.
